What bybecode is

An app for learning to code in Python, JavaScript, and SQL, with lessons, challenges and a profile that climbs the ranks. It is offered by UNIDIOR.

Age

To use bybecode you must be 13 or older, on the phone and on bybecode.com: it is the same rule as on the App Store and on Google Play. If you are under 18, you need your guardian’s permission, and purchases are made by that person.

What you can do

Use the app to learn, as many times as you like, on your own devices. The code you write in the exercises and the challenges is yours.

What you cannot

Three things are off limits:

• Copying the course content to publish or sell it yourself.
• Trying to break the app, the service, or other people’s accounts.
• Using the app for anything illegal, or to harass anyone.

The course content

The lessons, the challenges, the words and the drawings are ours or used with permission. You can learn from them and share what you learn; you cannot republish them as your own.

The full plan

The first unit of each language, the entry-level challenges and the Junior interview are free. The rest opens with the full plan: six months of the whole course for a single payment. It is not a subscription: when the six months end it does not renew and nothing else is charged, and you decide whether to buy it again.

In the app you buy it through the App Store or Google Play. On bybecode.com you pay by card, as explained below. The plan belongs to your account: bought in one place, it works in the others.

For every purchase you get a receipt by email: the store’s, or the one for the card payment if you bought on the web. We do not issue tax invoices (Mexican CFDI) or invoices with company details: if you need one to deduct or justify the expense, do not buy expecting it.

Buying on bybecode.com

Who sells: UNIDIOR, from Mexico. The charge is processed by Stripe, we never see your card details, and it shows on your statement as “bybecode”. You need a bybecode account to buy, because the plan is given to that account.

Price and taxes: the price you see before paying is the total you are charged, with any applicable taxes included, in the currency shown. If your bank charges a currency conversion fee, that one is your bank’s.

Refunds

Purchases made on bybecode.com are not refundable: the full plan is activated on your account as soon as the payment is confirmed. Before buying you can try everything that is free.

The exception is when something failed on our side (a double charge, a plan that was never activated): write to soporte@unidior.com from your account’s email address and we will fix it or return that charge. The money goes back to the same payment method; your bank may take a few days to show it.

If you buy from the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the law gives you 14 calendar days from the purchase to withdraw and get the full payment back, without giving any reason: write to soporte@unidior.com from your account’s email address and say that you withdraw from the purchase. When it is returned, the full plan is removed from your account; your progress stays. In any other country, if the law gives you a right to a refund that cannot be waived, that right is respected.

What you bought in the app is refunded by the App Store or Google Play, under their terms: a charge they made is not one we can return.

The app will change

Units get added, lessons get corrected, and sometimes something is removed because it was not working. If a change really affects you — your progress, for instance — the app will tell you.

Liability

The app is offered as it is. We take care that the content is correct and that nothing is lost, but we cannot guarantee that the service will be available without interruption, or that learning here will get you a job.

None of the above limits the rights Mexican law gives you as a consumer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. Disputes go to the competent courts of Mexico City, unless consumer law points to another jurisdiction.
